There are also many podcasts and articles that study modern entrepreneurs and companies, but little studying anything more than 50 years ago. The problem for current professionals applying business practices from hot new startups is they often have not been tested by the market and definitely not been sustained over time. Its shocking how quickly we attribute ‘success’ to a startup simply because they’ve secured venture funding but no real customer base to speak of.
I am an enterprise software seller with 10+ years in business experience selling to Fortune 500 companies for various companies including venture-backed startups and large enterprises like Oracle. I have a real understanding of how businesses run and grow, which gives me a unique perspective as a business writer.
